Welcome to Awake at the Whisk version 2.0: extra bright and fancy! It’s a new day.
As with the new, lime-yellow coat of paint on my kitchen walls, I needed some cheer in my life. When I gaze out of my home office window, I’m bombarded with bursts of color! Hummingbird bushes pop like firecrackers in red; California poppies stretch their happy heads in orange; golden yarrow bob in the wind; and lavender reach for the sky as bees hum busily by.
For me, a website in stark white would not do justice to the palette of colors my locavore world contains. Like the farmers’ market with its bright peaches and bubbly cherries, my website needed life in its brightest form. Like the sun on a glorious California day, I hope this site makes you put on your sunglasses. Get ready for some joy!
And because I’m a practical gal, this new site is also more functional. Did you notice my recipe index? Too cool!
The site also makes it easier for you to find your favorite articles, whether you’re looking for a book review, what’s new at the farmers’ market, or want to know where to eat in Seattle.
Yep. It’s pretty fancy!
I’d like to thank my snazzy web designer at TCDawson Designs for making all this possible. He’s a Sacramento native, too, which means he’s talented and has good taste.
And if you happen to have a beer in your hand while you’re reading this (as I do while I’m writing), raise it in a cheer to my new, happy website!
