On the Grow: Food Photos from My Garden

by Amber on January 27, 2012

Here’s a little color to brighten things up on this winter day. Earlier this week, when the rain subsided, I took my camera around the yard to capture the life that’s ‘on the grow’ in my garden. Here’s a cheerful feast for your eyes.

Navel oranges covered in raindrops after a storm

Far left: tatsoi, an Asian green similar to spinach. Top right: cilantro. Bottom right: rhubarb.

We planted this lime tree several years ago. This is its first season with fruit!

Enjoy!

Look at all that color! I’ll try not to be jealous. I was just out in my garden with a spade, digging muddy root vegetables out from under the snow!

Yes, we are really spoiled here in California. Hopefully these photos can spread a little of the love around. 🙂 Your root veggies would taste pretty nice with my tatsoi!

Wow! These pictures are great! Makes me wish I could grow my own fruits! Or just move to Cali!

Thanks, Natia! I say you at least need to visit Cali when the oranges are in bloom. Sitting under a blossoming orange tree is perhaps the most wonderful thing in the world!
